9th February, 1995 – Travis Cut album mix
Stayed round Rich’s, went to a greasy spoon for breakfast with Chris. Then to the arcades. Ant still hasn’t turned up. Probably doing nothing today. Ant mixed some songs, that all sounded cool. More mixing and sampling tomorrow.
8th February, 1995 – Travis Cut album mix
Mac was moody as usual. I did hardly anything all day. Sampled my snare, some vocals and “Waking Hours” and “Mailage” (acoustic) then watched Norwich v Coventry (3-1)
7th February, 1996 – Travis Cut recording, Purple Rain Studio
Morning. Had nice chili at Helen’s house in the middle of nowhere – had beers, thought my innards were gonna explode. My hat is glued to my head. Going home today. It’s nice up here but I’m wasting time. Still miss her. I’ll miss this place though. Glad I filmed it. Adios.
6th February, 1996 – Travis Cut recording, Purple Rain Studio
Thought of going home. Didn’t. Should have. Went to the beach and nearly got frostbite. Did more filming, and feel like I’ve been eating all day. Went to the arcades. Wish someone would phone me. Especially someone in particular. Never mind. Helen’s tonight, for chili. Can’t wait.
5th February, 1995 – Travis Cut album recording
Recovery day. I wasn’t too bad actually. Didn’t do anything for the morning. There’s only little things left to tie up. Albums gonna be great. Finished tambourine, left studio about 7.30, back by 9.30. Return to the studio on Wednesday. Picked up a hot American hitchhiker 10 miles from Newmarket!
5th February, 1996 – Travis Cut sessions, Purple Rain Studio
Bigheaded moi? Ok, I did 8 (count ’em) 8 tracks by 3.30! Great. So I’m tempted to go home tomorrow.After my camcorder stuff anyway. Rest of the day was followed by fags, beers, fags, wine, fags, beer. oops. I miss her! Big time.
4th February, 1995 – Travis Cut album recording
finished the drums this morning, on “Summer of Hate”. All that’s left for me now is tambourine and “Waking Hours” (acoustic). Macs been in the best mood so far. Going out tonight for Ants birthday. Only got a tenner left though. Started on the beer this afternoon, then our descent into manhood ended with Paul phoning QVC to ask them to define a quibble. We then hit the town, danced in a nightclub then got pissed on wine in a restaurant. The walk back entailed asking girls to “touch fish” we also took boards from takeaway shops.

Um, yeah. Not worth explaining. Its kinda like a second home here! Arrived 8ish, set up kit then to The Gunner. Except it’s closed down. So to The Trafalgar instead. Paul likes my homebrew, and I’m regressing – fags and beer. Miss my girlfriend. Will be done by Tuesday.

got some money, went shopping. Finished my drum takes -” Just A Girl” and “Schism”. Only one track left. Mac is now officially getting to me. 2 more days. Watched a bit of Rapid Fire, then bed.
